Hello lovely readers,
This is the first Travel Friday blogpost on Elize in Wonderland, yaay!
In 2014 I spent 10 days in Barcelona with my boyfriend (now husband). 10 Days was actually a pretty long time for one city, but we did some daytrips to waterparks as well. One of my favourite days was when we rented a Dutch bike and went cycling through Barcelona. We rented the bikes at Color Bikes, where you can choose which bike you want. I picked a pink one and Chris (my boyfriend/husband) picked a yellow one. The bike rental was close to the La Ramblas and from there we just cycled through the city. We didn't have a route and just followed the coastline. And we got to see some pretty amazing places in Barcelona. Renting a bike is actually a great way to see a lot of Barcelona in a short period of time. And besides that, it is also a very fun and relaxing way to explore the city!
This is a visual diary of one of the days I spent in Barcelona in 2014. Enjoy :)

- STARTING AT THE LA RAMBLAS -

The shop where we rented the bikes was in an alley of the La Ramblas.
- ON THE ROAD -

- CYCLING BY THE BEACH -

We cycled by Barceloneta Beach.
- PARC DE LA CIUTADELLA -
One of my favourite stops in Barcelona. This park is incredibly beautiful.

- ARC DE TRIOMF -
Next, we cycled to the Arc de Triomf, since it was very close to Parc de la Ciutadella.

- LAST STOP: PORT DE BARCELONA -
As we were cycling back to the La Ramblas to return our bikes, we passed by the Port of Barcelona. We made a quick stop there and took some photos, before completing our journey.

- HAVING DINNER AT BIG J'S -
To complete the day, we had dinner at Big J's after we returned our bikes. Big J's sells American food, like hot dogs and burgers. It was yummy!
